This week’s inspirational offering comes in the shape of Thomas Keown. Born in Northern Ireland and after studying History and Politics and doing odd jobs like carrying Brian Adams musical equipment (as you do), he co-founded of One Home Many Hopes. In its simplest form, it’s a charity that runs girls’ homes and schools in Kenya and then takes them on to, and through, university. Don’t be confuddled though, this is a charity that’s doing things all rather differently. They are set up so that 100% of the donations that they receive go straight to their mission, with the support and admin costs being covered by a separate pool of contributions. Refreshing or what?
