Helen Zaltzman started her first podcast  Answer Me This with Olly Mann back in 2006 so this is a lady with podcast pedigree unlike many others. No pressure then. Earlier this year she set out on her broadcasting lonesome too with The Allusionist hosted by American podcasting whizzes Radiotopia. So now she is officially a fully self supporting podcaster – doubt there’s many round here that can be saying that!

Helen’s been there and got the t-shirt when it comes to living life as a Freelancer so this pod is right royally packed full of encouragement for doing that. Treading a path away from traditional career hierarchy and thus without the cosy back pats of reassurance that you’re doing the right thing, is all very familiar to her. However she’s also just as close friends with the truly magical feeling of being able to make a living by doing something that she absolutely and totally utterly loves so as trade offs go, there’s definitely shabbier ones!
